Accommodation

Delegates will have to make their own arrangements regarding accommodation. An ideal location for accommodation is around the Kongens Nytorv area of Copenhagen (or Royal Theatre, Kgl. Teater), only two stops from the conference centre by Metro and an area central for restaurants, shops and bars.

Accommodation in Copenhagen can be relatively expensive. General bookings can be arranged via websites such as the Wonderful Copenhagen official tourism website. However, the conference organisers have negotiated a special rate for delegates with Hotel Opera, next to Kongens Nytorv (for details, see below).

Please note: From Kongens Nytorv, an easy way for travelling to and from the University is via the Copenhagen Metro (stop: Islands Brygge), which is extremely safe, fast and reliable.

The easiest way to get to the conference location is via the Metro. It is extremely safe, clean and reliable. The nearest stop to the conference is ‘Island's Brygge' - two stops from Kongens Nytorv, which takes only minutes. Single tickets can be purchased at the metro stations.
Alternatively, you can save money by purchasing a ‘klipkort' for 2 zones that allows you to make up to 10 journeys (priced DKK 120). These are available from most kiosks and newsagents. Ask you hotel for details. Tickets for the Metro usually include travel on busses, trains and dock waterways ‘busses'.
