Spanish language and linguistics and the literature, history and culture of Spain and the Spanish-speaking world.

Access requirements
A-level Spanish from upper secondary school leaving examination.
Programme requirements
The aims of the BA programme are to:
- develop the student’s communicative skills in Spanish;
- introduce the student to the Spanish-speaking world – its history, culture and literature, as well as the linguistic and social diversity of its peoples;
- familiarise students with theories and methods for conducting research in the humanities and encourage critical thinking.
Professional status
The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Studies qualifies the candidate for positions which require basic academic skills. The BA furthermore qualifies students for further studies at MA level.
MA programme
Main fields of study
Advanced courses in Spanish and linguistics and the literature, history and culture of Spain and the Spanish-speaking world.

Spanish and Danish.
Access requirements
A BA in Spanish Studies from a Danish University.
Programme requirements
The aims of the MA programme are to:
- extend and deepen the student’s familiarity with the subject’s scholarly methods and theoretical basis;
- develop the student’s knowledge and competence in a number of elective topic areas by means of independent work;
- improve the student’s proficiency in the Spanish language.
The Master of Arts in Spanish Studies aims to make the graduates competent to approach the field of humanistic studies in an independent fashion – and thus to qualify them for a broad spectrum of employment in both the public and the private sector.

The Master of Arts in Spanish Studies qualifies the candidate for positions which require basic academic skills. The MA furthermore qualifies students for further studies at PhD level and teaching positions in upper secondary schools.
