Laura Browder - a talk on women in war

Dr. Laura Browder of University of Richmond will be giving a talk on:

"Women in War: Accounts of Women in Combat from the American Civil War to Present”. 

Laura Browder is a professor of American Studies at the University of Richmond, Virginia. She has authored or edited five books, which address such diverse subjects as Radical Culture during the Great Depression, Women and Guns in American culture and Ethnic Impersonators and American Identities. She is also a documentary film maker. Dr. Browder is also a documentary film "The Reconstruction of Asa Carter", which is based on her book "Slippery Characters: Ethnic Impersonators and American Identities" and which will appear on American Public Television.
