Maria Elena Ansotegui Martinez

Part-time lecturer

External professor of Latin American Cultural Studies and Intercultural Marketing Studies. I am currently doing a PhD on indigenous feminism. The focus of my research is on Latin America and especially on Mexico and Bolivia. Specifically, I investigate social movements and how they, from an interdisciplinary perspective, build new realities. The specific issues that I have examined how the discourse (journalistic, political and literary) of various social actors, especially the Zapatista indigenous movement in the Mexican southeast, is capable of mobilizing society and creating a new collective identity.
