Fedja’s main research deals with post-Yugoslav literatures, especially Bosnian literature, and focusses primarily on issues related to cultural memory and migration. He is currently part of the research project Mnemonic Migration: Transnational Circulation and Reception of Wartime Memories in post-Yugoslav Migrant Literature.
In 2016 he finished a PhD thesis, A Children’s Literature? Subversive Infantilisation in Contemporary Bosnian-Herzegovinian Fiction, which deals with the use of the child character as a means of producing critique of dominant political discourses in the Bosnian context.
