AMERICAN CULTURES OF WORK
A Center for Transnational American Studies (CTAS) two-day symposium, 24-25 April 2013
The Center for Transnational American Studies is hosting a two-day symposium entitled "American Cultures of Work" next Wednesday and Thursday (24 and 25 April) in rooms 27.0.17 (Wed) and 27.0.49 (Thurs).
Over the two days, there will be thirteen research presentations by a range of Americanists and colleagues in related fields, not only from CTAS/Engerom but also other departments/faculties at the U of Copenhagen as well as other Danish and British universities. The two keynote speakers will be literary scholar Prof. Justin Edwards (University of Surrey), newly appointed adjunct professor at CTAS/Engerom (Wed), and historian Dr. David Brown (University of Manchester, Thu).
For full details of the symposium, see this attached schedule. All are welcome and there is no formal registration required, so please also feel free to advertise to your students. However, if you do plan to attend, it would be helpful if you could write Joe (email@example.com), Andrew (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I, as that will help us get a handle on how many people are coming and how much coffee/cake/fruit etc. we need to order for the breaks on each day :)
