From Metropolis to Necropolis.

From Metropolis to Necropolis. Political violence in interwar Europe

The seminar brings together different perspectives on the aftermath of First World War in Europe. We would like to discuss the fascination of new technologies to fight a “clean” war and the consequences of violence and political radicalization for the development of European Societies after 1918. Three distinguished scholars will present their case studies from Spanish and German history in order to develop a common European perspective on the history of war, violence and mentalities in the 20th century.

Students and Scholars of all faculties are welcome.
