Lawmaking process and non-governmental stakeholders in China’s Antimonopoly Law

The article provides a critical account of the political interests behind the enactment of China’s competition law and argues that, contrary to standard view, the influences of foreign and local stakeholders have been differently incorporated by local lawmakers, which resulted in a distinctive competition policy in China.
