Presentation at IDT 2022

Petra Daryai-Hansen and Natascha Drachmann will be presenting a paper at the German teachers’ conference Internationale Tagung der Deutschlehrerinnen und Deutschlehrer, held in Vienna on 15-20 August. The paper presents the PE-LAL project’s two operationalizations of (1) plurilingual education and (2) language awareness and illustrates through practical examples based on both the PE-LAL project and the Tidlig Sprogstart project (in Danish) how the operationalizations can be used as didactic models for development of teaching materials for German as a foreign language. Finally, the presentation focuses on the potentials and challenges of the operationalizations and discusses their contribution in teaching and research in German as a foreign language.
