Engerom History (EGR-Hist)

Engerom History brings together scholars at Engerom who, in the broadest possible sense, conduct research within the field of history and cultural history and/or apply historical methods, make archival research, interpret sources and other historical data as part of their work.

Aims

The group is interested in pursuing the transnational and trans-lingual studies, of, for example, ideas, text, groups, or phenomena, that move across temporal and spatial contexts. We aim at discussing new paths and transdisciplinary potential within historical studies as well as the use of historical methodologies as part of philological approaches to language research or as part of literary and cultural studies.

Purpose

The research group is a space for pitching, testing and discussing new ideas for research or teaching initiatives with colleagues. The group can be a forum in which work in progress at all levels can be discussed; for example, responses to a submitted manuscript, a critical peer review, an upcoming research presentation or application. Finally, the group will be a network and forum that brings together like-minded scholars at Engerom; where members can keep up to date with historical research and activities at Engerom, Søndre Campus, KU, and beyond.
