PhD Course: Ethical dilemmas in educational research

In this PhD course, Jan Kampmann, professor at Roskilde University, will help you navigate possible ethical dilemmas in your research process.

As a PhD student in educational research, you find yourself in ethical dilemmas in several phases of your project. For example, considerations for individuals can have consequences for which empirical data can be collected. During the collection process, you may gain access to confidential information that appears so problematic that you think it requires further investigation - and when it comes to dissemination of the empirical data, it can be a challenge not to offend the participants. With this course we hope to help you navigate these ethical dilemmas in educational research.

This course will highlight how to navigate between the interest in communicating all your findings and the consideration for the project's informants.
