Talk: A Plurilingual Approach to the General Language Awareness Course

On January 20, Line Krogager Andersen gave a talk on a virtual seminar organized by the Danish Ministry of Education, focusing on a plurilingual and awareness-oriented approach to the General Language Awareness Course.

In the talk, she discussed the curricular terms language awareness, metalinguistic analytical skills, linguistic creativity and linguistic fantasy on the basis of existing research, and in relation to the preliminary analyses of project data collected in General Language Awareness courses during the 2021 autumn semester. Participants were encouraged to discuss  the potentials of the plurilingual approach in relation to curricular goals, and were presented with samples of project teaching materials.
